This “trick” is proven and powerful...

Whether times are “normal” - or if you’re on lockdown or quarantine, there will always be moments when it seems darn near impossible to do what you’re supposed to do (whatever that means for you…).

 

I wouldn’t even be offended if you said watching your lessons might, at times, feel like a drag!

 

But did you know you can “trick” your mind to push through that resistance?

 

One powerful strategy I’d like to share with you only takes 5 minutes, and it’s called “The Force” technique (yes, the name comes from Star Wars!).

 

Here’s how it works...

 

“Force” yourself to do one (and only one) thing for just 5 minutes… even if you don’t feel like doing it.

 

Perhaps your mind will wander. Maybe you’ll be counting down the 300 seconds.

 

But stick to the “force” and tell yourself, “I won’t fall into the dark side.”

 

Once you pass about the 3-minute mark or so, your resistance will start (and continue) to decrease as you finish out the 5 minutes. 

 

At that point, you can stop, or you may feel motivated by your momentum to continue.

 

Either way is excellent - because you took ACTION! 

 

And action always creates more action (whether in that moment or the future).

 

Besides, you’ll feel good about yourself that you pushed through your resistance and accomplished something (no matter how significant or insignificant that “thing” might be...).

 

Try “The Force” technique now - and if you don’t have a “thing” to push through, why not try it with your courses?
