{first_name},
Let’s discuss commissions, because if we are being honest, none of us show up to work every day to work for free.
On average, CIA agents make 25-30% more than agents partnered with other aggregators and even agents that are direct with the carriers on their own.

You may be scratching your head thinking how is this possible, so I’ll explain.

Let’s use ABC carrier as the example and 15% new business commission since that is an accurate average across the board for personal lines.

Due to our large volume, profitability, and very good relationships with our carriers, we receive overrides from many of them.

If you aren’t sure what an override is, it’s an additional commissions paid from the carriers due to our volume, profitability, and growth.

We share our overrides with our agents at their contract split verses being greedy like many other outfits and keeping it for themselves. It’s our agents collectively that have put the volume on the board to begin with, so we viewed it as a slap in the face if we didn’t distribute it back out to our agent force.

For many aggregators, this is where they make a TON of money because the overrides can be up to 5% higher in commissions with certain carriers. Imagine losing out on a third higher in commissions because you wanted to go with a cheap or unexperienced organization. Yikes!
