Greetings,

On Christmas day I was working my overtime job as a courier for Quick Silver my courier client was Bonfils Blood now named Vitalant and I was delivering blood to Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colo.

While there I was talking to a lab tech Geri Sloan and someone came into the lab and started telling us about her Christmas present and how her husband had giving her the 12 days of Christmas clues to her gift.

I replied, that’s cool what were they incase I start to date someone I’d like to be romantic, she replied that she threw them away. She continued to say her surprise was a Smoker.

Now I’m somewhat of a jokester so I said “oh so you husband must think your smoking… and the problem with that is you can’t go to restaurants because there’s a smoking law in Colorado”…

I laughed and thought nothing of it until a few days later when Sara, the Parkview Lab Supervisor brought to my attention that Jennifer had filed a complaint. Which then was taken from Parkview Hospital personnel and presented to Vitalant, which they called my company Quick Silver and said I had to be fired and that I could not deliver for Bonfils or any of their clients, Parkview etc.

The reasoning I believe it is a defamation of character is the fact I’m a 58 year old white male working as a courier, a job that does not get much respect with those we deliver to.  Also, with the witch hunt of Hash Tag MeToo men like me have been put in the cross hairs of anything we say or do can be construed as harassment.

At which point do we, the victims of false accusations get our justice?

What is our Hash Tag rallying cry, who is listening to us?

Bonfils Blood/Vitalant would not let me have my “day in court” no questions asked I was simply terminated without due process of them learning who I am, and why people that I deliver to on my daily routes think highly of my professionalism and extra mile attitude.

I asked my employer to request from Bonfils Blood/Vitalant  a chance for them to talk to the withness that was in the room at the time Geri Sloan and to talk Sara the Supervisor what her thoughts were about Jack Corn.

I had spoken with Sara a week prior to this getting sent up to Bonfils Blood/Vitalant and she said I was fine to keep delivering for them, just need to talk to my HR and take a class on behavior in the workplace.

Also, I must point out that the lab techs including Sara and Geri, Michael, Zach, Joanne and Heather all appreciated my work for them, they even bought me a Christmas gift and all of them signed a Christmas card.

The reply from Bonfils Blood/Vitalant when my employer asked to let my side be heard was no, once it goes to corporate there is nothing the local Bonfils Blood/Vitalant Branch can do.

As a courier in Denver most companies deliver blood or other products for Bonfils Blood/Vitalant and due to that I have been out of a job for 3 months because I have been banned from delivering for Bonfils Blood/Vitalant.

I don’t see how it’s fair that a large nation-wide company that has over 127 locations nationwide can prevent middle-aged white males from working without giving us a fair hearing.

That being said can you help me fight the injustice of this?

Respectfully

Jack Corn
