They are packed because they offer 50% off shakes and people come in droves every night to get a discounted price for their shakes. But what you don’t find out until you get there is that Sonic only offers that price on their most basic shakes like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry.

And of course everything else is full price. What winds up happening is that the whole family gets to Sonic and you order a few shakes but little jimmy now wants a blizzard shake and of course this is full price. And now someone else wants onion rings and a burger, and list goes on and on.

So the real winner here winds up being Sonic, because they were smart enough to get the word out and let people know about their special deal. Which in turns brings a lot of customers who wind up buying other items as well.
