Are you ready to buy a home but don’t have the down payment?

Many people find themselves with great credit and income, but without the 20% down
payment. Fortunately there are options. In addition to home loans which require less money
down, there are also down payment assistance programs which provide funds for the down
payment.

Down Payment Assistance 101

The good news is there are too many down payment assistance programs to list here, but
we can discuss the options with you when we speak in person. A few highlights include:

  • Industry Professionals – Professionals in a variety of important industries can receive down payment assistance; fire fighters, teachers, community service members, first responders, etc.
  • Military Housing – In partnership with the VA loan, this fund provides help for closing costs which can reduce your out-of-pocket costs and help with down payment.
  • USDA – These programs help those buying in rural areas.
  • State and Local Programs – Redevelopment programs often help with down payment assistance to help encourage home buyers to buy in special districts.
  • Native American Home Initiative – Members of Native American tribes can receive $15,000 to use for down payment and closing costs.
These are just a few of the programs which provide assistance with the down payment.
Let’s talk about your options and see if you can say good-bye to your landlord for good!
