Happy April!

March was a whirlwind, and Spring is FINALLY here! We've had some changes in the office and are gearing up for a great summer...

Jackie Says "Goodbye"

After 11 years with Colorado County Farm Bureau, Jackie Chesson has decided it's time to take the plunge into retirement. She plans to spend lots of time at the beach or on the lake, fishing, soaking up some sun, and enjoying some well earned rest and relaxation. During the shutdown in 2020, we gave her a "land cruise" when she was forced to cancel a Carnival trip. It was only fitting that she get a fun-filled send off, so the office team surprised her with a cruise themed day and parting celebration at Blake's. Jackie has been a wonderful and integral part of the team for many years, taking great pride in providing the best service to your Members, and we will all miss her. We wish her and Steve all the best in their next chapter and hope she comes by to visit often!

Say "Hello" to the Ladies Up Front!

In case you haven't had a chance to come by in a while, we have two fantastic ladies in the office to take care of all of your insurance and Membership needs. Stacey Krenek and Kerri Jaeger have been with us for almost a year, and they have taken to the world of Insurance and Agriculture like ducks to water. Stacey and Kerri are good friends and have worked as a team for close to a decade. You may recognize them from when they ran Beall's in Columbus. To say that they work together like a well-oiled machine is an understatment! Besides working with the agents and helping you with all your needs, Stacey is our County Secretary and Notary and Kerri is handling our Brokerage Accounts. The Agents love getting to work with them, and I'm sure that you will too!

So HOW can you make sure that your home is properly covered in a crazy market where everything is hard to find and the cost is going up? We can do a full evaluation of your home to determine the Replacement Cost Value (RCV) - How much it takes to put it back - based on the materials, size, upgrades, etc. This is NOT the same as Market Value - what it sells for including the land and location - or the Appraisal Value - what the County Appraisal District says it's worth.
Check out this video for some more insight into why this is so important...
