You now know that your score can bounce around a little from month to month. If you are making a large purchase, you will likely want to know exactly what your score is going to be at the time of purchase so you can know your interest rate.
With large loans such as mortgages, a difference of just a few points could mean the difference of ten’s of thousands of dollars in interest payments. Normally, it takes at least a few months for specific changes to show on your credit report. A Rapid Rescore can make that happen in 3-4 days.
If there are things you can do quickly, to improve your score such as paying down balances to improve your Credit Utilization Score, or removing an unauthorized hard pull then a Rapid Rescore could make sense.
Just be certain that you’ve corrected the issue you’re rescoring for.
What if I see a major point drop quickly? What should I look for? We’ll discuss that in our next email. See you there!
Sincerely,
