Hi {first_name},
Last time, we went over how long Payment History items stay on your credit report. This time we’ll get into the details of how each aspect can affect your credit score.
Which items affect your Payment History score the most?
On the whole, we’ve already told you how important Payment history is to your overall credit score, but now we’ll look at which parts have the greatest impact.
The primary factors are:
How far in arrears you are.
Are you 30, 60, 90 days or more? Obviously the longer the debt has remained unpaid, the bigger the impact.
How many accounts you have that are delinquent.
Again, pretty self-evident on this one.
What types of accounts are delinquent.
Mortgages are considered more critical than credit cards.
How much you owe.
It bears repeating, consistently paying all of your bills on time is key to having a good credit score.
The next email will be a short one, but we think you’ll find it interesting and helpful.
See you!
Sincerely,
