Winter Weather Alert
Winter weather can be challenging for even the most experienced drivers. According to the Department of Transportation, 22% of all vehicle crashes in the U.S. – and 16% of fatalities – are due to severe weather such as rain, snow, sleet and ice. Dangerous windchills are also expected which can cause frostbite to occur quickly. With the holiday storm forecasted this week treacherous driving conditions are likely.
The most important thing you can do to protect yourself and your family is to stay off the roads during the storm. With the broad footprint of the forecasted storm, it is likely emergency responses at the city, county and state level will be stretched, and we expect towing resources to be over-capacity across the nation, as well.
