We hope you and your family stayed safe during Hurricane Nicole. Please know that Kretschmer Insurance is here to assist in getting you back on your feet should you be affected by the storm.
 
Depending on the severity of any storm event, it may take several days before an adjuster is able to inspect a home.
 
If a home is habitable and the area is not under evacuation orders, the following steps will assist in a quicker claims process:
 
1 - Complete any necessary temporary or emergency repairs to the covered property to prevent further damage from occurring. 
 
2 - Prepare a list of all damaged items.
 
3 - Take photos to document the damaged property and keep any damaged items in a safe location so the adjuster can complete an inspection of those items.
 
4 - Keep all receipts for any repairs or additional living costs incurred as a result of the hurricane and provide them to the adjuster for consideration.
