According to safewise.com a home burglary occurs every 26 seconds and they usually happen during the day. Also renters are more likely to be burglarized than are homeowners. Here are some ideas to protect your home:
1. Consider adding a security camera
2. Don't post your vacation pics on social media until you get back home - otherwise a potential burglar knows you are out of town. 
3. Most homeowners have insurance, but many renters do not. Consider getting renters insurance if you don't have it. 
4. Upgrade your locks to more secure models.
