Claims Process & Tips 

Auto Claim:

1. Be aware of your personal safety and others at the accident scene first. 

2. Call 911 immediately, report injuries and property damage

3. Put caution signals on to alert other drivers on the road

4. Notify the police. Even if no one is hurt from the accident, you should always contact the police and file an accident report. You will need it when you file a claim

5. Don’t admit responsibility, as an investigation may show that you weren’t responsible

6. Collect information: Name, addresses, and phone numbers of all drivers and passengers involved in the accident, car license number, make and model of each car involved in the accident, vehicle operator’s driver license number, insurance company and policy number, names and addresses of as many witnesses as possible, names and badge numbers of police officers 

7. Take photos of the damage at the scene, and document details of the accident while they are fresh in your memeory

Home Claim:

1. Take a video or make a list of all items in each room of your home, if the worst were to happen this would help to recall all personal property to be replaced

2. If you have water damage and are able to stop or slow the leaking in a safe manner please do so, if not please get a professional to come out as soon as possible 

3. Give us a call (706-705-6227) to explain the situation to determine if it is something you would like to file a claim for. 

4. Most people don't know this but, if we start a claim for you and even if $0 ends up being paid out, it is going to show up as a claim on your record for the next 5 years. Please call us first to walk through the process before starting a claim!

5. Once we start the claim your primary contact with be the Farmers claims adjuster, however we will be contacting you throughout the process and can answer any question
