So many educators are unaware of how their TRS pension works. For example, after 20 years of service, my good friend Kim Hunt thought she would be able to retire. But like all other TRS members, she only received 46% of her paycheck when she retired. 

Getting the word out about the 403B is so important so that when someone wants to retire, they can. Unfortunately, most educators have to go back to work either substituting or in other jobs in the private sector to supplement their pension.
