Neighbors,
Our neighborhood walking trail along Drakes Creek is a beautiful asset we enjoy on a year-round basis. The HOA Board installed the gates at both ends of the trail many years ago as well as the actuating arm at the lower trailhead to limit access to the trail to Cumberland Ridge residents and their guests. Over a year ago, the gate was damaged by individuals pushing the gate open to gain access to the trail. Since that time, the HOA Board has replaced the lower trailhead fence and gates, replaced the RFID components and are now ready to turn the program back on that operates the gate.
Beginning on August 1, 2023, you will be required to have an RFID card or disc to open the gate from either side. This includes the larger gate golf carts can pass through as well as the smaller man gate on the side. If you still have your RFID cards or discs, GREAT, they will continue to work. If you do not have or cannot find your RFID card or disc, one will be required to access the trail on the lower end.
Here is a link to RFID discs that will work with our system. You can place them on your cell phone case behind your phone, place them on a key ring, or any other convenient place. Once you have your RFID discs, click on the link to complete the form to have them programmed. Three (3) access discs or cards are permitted per household.

The HOA Board has gone through a great amount of time, effort, and expense to repair and reactive this gate. If you see anyone attempting to push open the gate, climb over the gate, or nonresidents on the trail or beach area, you can call the non-emergency line of the Bowling Green Police Department at 270.393.4000.
Thank you,
