Cumberland Ridge Neighbor,

As you may be aware the board of directors proposed a change to our neighborhood covenants during our 2021 annual meeting. Our current covenants were written over 20 years ago when the subdivision was first approved. The covenants have not had any updates or revisions made to them since then and the board feels these updates are needed.

The goal of this covenant change is to keep Cumberland Ridge beautiful, protect property values and ensure that your annual dues are spent on things that benefit everyone here “on the Ridge”. In the past the HOA has had to spend money on matters related to individual properties due to repeated non-compliance by the property owner. This change will shift that expense to the property owner who continues to be in violation of covenants.

We have obtained many signatures in support of this change so far and are now working to reach every property owner. However, we have not been able to meet with you to discuss this change. Several board members are willing to meet with you, explain the change, get your feedback, and provide the document that needs your signature. It’s critical that we get the signature of each property owner in a timely manner and are hoping you will contact us. If there are multiple owners recorded on the deed each person will need to sign the document.
