I update Apple Health eligibility coverage for our clients every day, so I've gotten pretty quick.
You'll need to make sure you have your household's pre-tax income handy as well as a list of any tax deductions and their amounts.
Does your income change due to a variable schedule? No problem! We can use your averages over time from your most recent paystubs covering the past two months.
Small business owner and need to update business income and deductions? You may need your most recent tax return, but I will try to update your information without it.

Why now?
During the pandemic, the federal government instructed states to not terminate Medicaid-eligible persons out of concern that people will get ill and not have health insurance.
Now that the public health emergency is coming to an end, the federal government has instructed states to resume normal Medicaid business practices, including requiring annual recertification of eligibility.
This 'unwinding' as it is referred to started April 1, 2023 and will continue through April 30, 2024 and will occur for individuals based on their current renewal dates.
Some people may lose their Apple Health coverage due to changes in their eligibility, like changes to household income and family size. For those who do lose eligibility, they will have the right to change to a Marketplace plan within 60 days of their loss of Apple Health coverage. I understand that this is a concern, so please know that I am here for that and can handle that plan change for you without a lapse in coverage.
